Private compute for reactor-physics workflows

SoftFission provides personal on-demand compute nodes, persistent project storage, and an OpenMC-first workflow for preparing inputs, running calculations, and keeping results organized.

Compute
Private node
Start a personal compute node when needed for batch calculations.
Storage
1.00 GB
Persistent project storage for inputs, outputs, and organized run results.
Tools
OpenMC
OpenMC is available now, with additional tools planned later.

How SoftFission works

The platform separates free workspace activity from billed compute activity.

Create a project, edit files, and upload XML inputs in your persistent workspace.
Start a personal compute node by selecting a maximum reserved duration in whole hours.
Submit runs, track outputs, and keep results grouped with the project.
Review generated files later and download run outputs when needed.

Billing model

Reservation-based compute access for the MVP. New users receive 4 free credits on first sign-in.

When creating a compute node, you choose the reserved duration in whole hours and the corresponding credits are reserved up front.
Billing begins only when the compute node is ready.
If you delete the node early, unused reserved credits are returned.

Current tool availability

SoftFission starts with one active workflow and expands from there.

Active
OpenMC
Available now as the first supported SoftFission workflow.
NJOY, converter tools, and CAD-oriented workflows can be added later.

Why this fits reactor-physics work

The current product structure already reflects the main workflow.

Projects Organize inputs, edits, and runs in a persistent workspace.
Compute node Use a personal on-demand node only when calculations need compute resources.
Runs Keep job outputs, logs, and results grouped by project and run.
Workspace actions File editing, uploads, and downloads stay separate from compute billing.
