Terms

These terms describe the conditions for using SoftFission, including account access, workspace use, compute-node reservations, billing, storage, and service limitations.

Access
Account-based
SoftFission is accessed through authenticated user accounts.
Compute
Reserved
Compute-node use depends on reserved duration, available credits, and scheduler-controlled execution.
Service status
No guarantee
Availability, runtime, and calculation completion are not guaranteed.

2. Use of the service

SoftFission provides authenticated workspace, storage, and compute-node functionality for supported workflows.

The service is intended for lawful use through a registered account.
Users may create projects, manage files, store results, and run supported computational workflows within platform limits.
Supported tools, features, limits, and workflows may change as SoftFission develops.

3. Accounts and user responsibility

Users are responsible for activity performed through their accounts and for the material they upload or generate.

Account security Users are responsible for maintaining control over their sign-in method and account access.
Uploaded content Users are responsible for project inputs, scripts, models, datasets, and other content stored in their workspace.
Generated results Users are responsible for reviewing, validating, and interpreting computational outputs.
Compliance Users must not use the service in a way that violates applicable law, third-party rights, export restrictions, license obligations, or platform rules.

4. Compute-node usage

Compute access depends on reservation, remaining allowed duration, and scheduler-controlled execution.

Reservation
A compute node requires a selected maximum reserved duration and sufficient available credits before creation can begin.
Charge timing
Reserved credits are charged when the compute node becomes ready, not when creation is first requested.
Job submission
Jobs may be submitted only when their selected walltime fits within the remaining reserved duration and current system rules.
Walltime
Jobs that exceed their selected walltime may be stopped automatically by the scheduler.
Idle deletion
Compute nodes may be deleted automatically after 1 hour without queued or running compute jobs.
Expiry
A compute node cannot remain active beyond its reserved duration and may be deleted when that duration expires.

5. Billing, credits, and storage

Billing and workspace storage follow the rules published for the current SoftFission service.

Compute-related billing follows the reservation and credit rules described in the Billing policy page.
Compute-node activity is billed at 1 credit per started hour after the compute node becomes ready.
If a compute node is deleted before the reserved duration is fully used, unused reserved credits are returned to the account.
Each user currently has 1.00 GB of persistent project storage for inputs and results.
Future changes to prices, credit packages, platform limits, or storage allocations apply prospectively and are reflected on the relevant service pages.

6. Service limitations and disclaimers

SoftFission provides infrastructure and workflow support, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service, calculation completion, or scientific suitability for any particular purpose.

Availability
The service may change, be interrupted, be rate-limited, or be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, provider issues, or operational constraints.
No runtime guarantee
SoftFission does not guarantee that a submitted computation will start immediately, complete successfully, or finish within a selected walltime.
User verification
Users are responsible for checking the validity, suitability, and correctness of their inputs, methods, models, nuclear data, and results.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an as-available and as-provided basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or error-free performance.

7. Open source software and third-party materials

SoftFission may provide access to or operate together with third-party software, data, and services.

SoftFission may incorporate or support open source software, including OpenMC, which remains subject to its own license terms and notices.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their own uploaded models, datasets, nuclear data libraries, scripts, and other materials may lawfully be used with the service.
Third-party services such as authentication, hosting, infrastructure, or payments may also be involved in delivering the service.

8. Suspension, termination, and account closure

SoftFission may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the service or enforce these terms.

Suspension SoftFission may suspend access temporarily in cases of suspected misuse, technical risk, legal risk, or infrastructure protection needs.
Termination by provider SoftFission may terminate or restrict access for material breach of these terms, unlawful use, abusive use, or operational necessity.
Termination by user Users may stop using the service at any time and may request account closure through the contact details provided on the site.
Effect of termination Access to projects, files, runs, and account features may end after account closure or termination, subject to any required retention under law or operational recovery processes.

9. Liability

Liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, 92 Research ApS is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or special losses, including lost data, lost profits, lost research time, or interrupted workflows.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

10. Governing law and venue

These terms should specify the governing law for the service relationship.

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be brought before the competent courts of Denmark.

11. Changes to these terms

SoftFission may update these terms as the service evolves.

Updated terms may be posted on this page from time to time. Changes apply prospectively from their stated effective date.

Continued use of the service after updated terms take effect means the user accepts the updated terms, unless mandatory law requires a different process.
